CGGBC's main function is to provide fundraising opportunities to help its members defray the cost of gymnastics competition fees. All fundraising is done on behalf of CGGBC and participation in the club does not create a right, claim or entitlement by individual members of CGGBC to any of the funds raised. All distributions of fundraised earnings are set in accordance with rules approved by the CGGBC Board of Directors.
Throughout the CGGBC season, members may choose from a variety of fundraisers in which to participate. Some fundraisers run continuously throughout the season (Year-Round Fundraisers), while others last only a few weeks. All CGGBC fundraisers are organized and run (or chaired) by volunteer members. Fundraisers without chairs or co-chairs, will not take place unless members volunteer!!!
To see the current list of fundraisers, chairs and co-chairs, please view the 2010-2011 Fundraising Schedule. There are many openings available! This list is not exhaustive - all ideas for new fundraisers are eagerly welcomed! Any member wishing to chair or co-chair a fundraiser, should contact the VP of Fundraising. Members will receive informational flyers via email at the beginning of each fundraiser. Flyers will also be posted below.
We're glad you want to know! Without volunteers like you, there would be no fundraisers in which to participate. Please read through 10 Easy Steps to Run a Fundraiser for an overview of what's expected. If you are still interested or have any questions, please email the VP of Fundraising. All the documents you need are here on our website!
The only "cost" associated with a fundraiser is a 3% deduction taken off of gross profit to fund the Resource Account and the Extended Season Account. The Board oversees the use and allocation of the funds in each of these accounts. For more information on these accounts, please see the CGGBC Handbook.
